Distance: Champ 6 466m, Club 6 095m
Holes: 18
Par 72.
18 holes designed by Jack Nicklaus - the Golden Bear himself - and built in two natural amphitheatres. Glorious views from every corner of the course. The Outeniqua Mountains, the Knysna Lagoon, the Indian Ocean and the clean, pure air of South Africa's Garden Route. Golf at Simola is the sublime experience.
It goes without saying that a course as great as Simola should have a club house to match.
The Simola Golf Clubhouse will be part of the Grand Simola Hotel. Guests and members will have access to hotel facilities like our Gourmet Restaurant, indoor training pool and Wellness Centre.
The Simola Golf Clubhouse will also give offer its very own Pro Shop as well as spacious changing rooms. And the exclusive Private Lounge will comfort the needs of each of our prestigious members.
As golf courses on the Garden Route tend to be very special, this is no different. When you walk off the 18th at Simola you will look back on the course and say 'wow, that was a fantastic layout'.
The spectacular 10th hole involves a tee-shot from a 200meter elevated tee. Your ball has a huge amount of air-time before landing in a narrow landing area of this incredible par 4.

Day 3:
Golf at Pezula Golf Club
Designer Ronald Fream/David Dale.
Distance Champ 6 394m (7 030 yards), Club 5 987m (6 579), Par 72.
Sparrebosch Clifftop Estate in Knysna is home to the spectacular Pezula Golf Course. The only serious problem that you could face when playing at The Pezula Championship golf course is running out of film for your camera! Pezula, without doubt, possesses one of the best locations on the African continent. This golf course is situated on the East head of Knysna, overlooking the Indian Ocean, Knysna lagoon and the Outeniqua Mountain range. It is also in the heart of the famous Garden Route.
The course's designers, Ron Fream and David Dale (Golfplan USA) have compared the look of Pezula golf course to that of Gleneagles in the Scottish Highlands and Pebble beach on the Monterey coastline. A terrain of rolling fairways, fynbos and eyebrow bunkers does, however, make it very difficult to walk this course but don't panic golf carts are provided for all golfers!
The five different tee options on every hole cater for all skill levels. No two challenges, or views, are alike. The signature holes are the three holes built on the cliff top overlooking the ocean; the par-five 13th, par-four 14th and the par-three 15th. The par-four 14th is particularly challenging - it is short and requires you to lay-up before firing at the pin. The green is completely surrounded by bunkers so be careful not to overshoot out-of-bounds and over the cliff!
